Doug Langefeld, D.D.S.

Dr. Langefeld earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois before pursuing his dental education, also at the University of Illinois. After graduation, he served two years in the United States Navy Dental Corps and has provided private practice care to the Lake of the Hills community ever since.

Dr. Langefeld is admired around the office for staying in the moment, never getting frazzled, and maintaining high morale. His goal each and every day is to obtain complete patient satisfaction.

For Dr. Langefeld, dentistry isn’t merely a job, but a life-long, fulfilling passion. He also enjoys all kinds of sports, traveling, and being with his wife, Mercedes. He has five sons, two daughters, one stepson, two stepdaughters, and sixteen grandchildren!

Marc Czapla, D.D.S.

Dr. Czapla earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of Illinois before pursuing his dental education at Loyola University. He completed his General Dental Residency at Cook County Hospital before going into private practice. In addition to serving the Lake of the Hills community, he has served for over 20 years as an Associate on the Attending staff of Sherman Hospital.

Committed to learning, Dr. Czapla regularly attends continuing education in all phases of dentistry.

At The Dental Shoppe, Dr. Czapla aims to provide excellent dentistry in a relaxed environment. Around the office, he is able to successfully multi-task, put out fires, and give compassionate care.

Dr. Czapla and his wife, Diane, have one son, Eric, and one daughter, Chloe. Away from the practice, he enjoys hockey, golf, skiing, fishing, hunting with his Labradors, canoeing, and archery.

Mark Matthaei, D.M.D.

Dr. Matthaei graduated from The University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana as a Biology major. He then continued his studies at Southern Illinois University’s School of Dental Medicine. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Illinois State Dental Society.

Dr. Matthaei prides himself on good communication, making people feel at ease, and providing the best treatment possible. Around the office, he is known for always being in a good mood!

Dr. Matthaei and his wife have four children: three boys and one girl. In his time away from the office, he enjoys playing golf, fishing, camping, and snow skiing.
