. . . Dental Technology Services
An oral examination allows care providers to get a true sense of a patient’s dental health. Dentists must be able to see if there are any worrisome conditions that are obstructed from their view, such as hidden tooth decay, impacted/extra teeth, bone loss from gum disease and/or the presence of any abscess, cysts, or tumors.
That’s where imaging technology comes in. It allows professionals to get more clear and comprehensive picture of teeth, tissue, nerves, and bone inside the mouth. These images can then be studied, stored, and compared over time to track improvements or identify worsening conditions.
Common soft tissue procedures treated by Lasers include:
Treating tongue frenulum attachment – Those with a thick or tight frenulum (the fold of skin under the front part of tongue that anchors to the mouth floor) may benefit from a laser frenectomy. This treatment helps children whose restricted frenulum causes them to be tongue-tied, have difficulty breastfeeding, or have a speech impediment.
Removing soft tissue folds – Lasers can remove soft tissue folds from ill-fitting dentures without pain or sutures.

Dental Curing Light
A dental curing light is a piece of dental equipment that is used for polymerization of light-cure resin-based composites. It can be used on several different dental materials that are curable by light. The light speeds up the curing process to reduce your time in the chair.

A digital impression is a digital scan that creates a map of your teeth which allows you and your dentist to view your teeth on a computer screen. This is much better than trying to use a mirror to look into your mouth or just looking at an X-ray.
Digital impressions are captured by a small wand, as it moves, it takes small measurements and captures countless small images. These images are immediately stitched together by a digital impression machine’s software to form a precise map of your mouth.
The 3-D scanning is often much more comfortable for patients than traditional impressions. Those who have sensitive gag reflexes or teeth that are sensitive to cold material will be able to relax since the impression is all digital. Digital impressions limit the margin for error and distortion when compared to traditional impressions. This means your crown, bridge, or other appliance will fit better in your mouth. Another benefit of digital impressions is the accuracy of the scan. The dentist can see the completed scan immediately, see if there are any inaccuracies, and re-do the scan while the patient is in the chair. Digital impressions provide many benefits for you:
Comfort – The 3-D scanning is often much more comfortable for patients than traditional impressions.
Quality – Digital impressions limit the margin for error and distortion when compared to traditional impressions.
